Dr. Anna Vavilova is a distinguished RCM Certified piano teacher across Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Levels. Her exemplary qualifications extend to certification in teaching beginner and intermediate theory through RCM. Dr. Vavilova holds membership in both the BCRMTA (BC Registered Music Teachers Association) and CFMTA (Canadian Federation of Music Teachers Association), underscoring her esteemed standing in the music education community.

In September 2009, Dr. Vavilova established the World of Music & Arts academy, dedicated to providing the community with unparalleled music instruction of the highest caliber. From 2011 to 2014, Anna was consistently voted “Best Teacher” by Richmond Review readers for four consecutive years.

An accomplished pianist and adjudicator, Dr. Vavilova has been invited to join the faculty at prestigious events such as the Tsar’s Village International Music Festival and competition in St. Petersburg, Russia (2012), Nancy, France (2016), Grosseto, Italy (2018), New York, USA (2020), Perugia, Italy (2023). Her advanced piano students have the unique opportunity to participate in Dr. Vavilova’s European Masterclasses and Camps. Currently, World of Music & Arts boasts a faculty of 25 teachers and serves 500 students, establishing itself as the foremost and most sought-after music school for K-12 education in Richmond, BC.

Royal Conservatory of Music: 

Dr. Anna Vavilova possesses more than 25 years of experience teaching RCM piano. She has guided approximately 200 students through their piano examinations, ranging from Grade 1 to ARCT, achieving outstanding results of over 90%. Ms. Vavilova is highly skilled in RCM Rudiments and has prepared students for Theory levels 5 to 8 with exceptional success rates of 99%.

She has developed a unique system for sight-reading and ear training, enhancing her students’ abilities significantly. Ms. Vavilova enriches the RCM curriculum by incorporating supplementary textbooks and methodologies from composers such as Hanon, Czerny, Burgmuller, and others.
